PROJECT BACKGROUND

The client is a non-profit art and science center, founded upon the legacy of a prominent curator and director at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Hosting residencies, conferences, and workshops, its mission is to create a dialogue between artists, scientists, critics, and art historians. To promote their workshop on neuroscience, I devised a folded program for the occasion. The week-long event took place in the South of France. I drew upon this landscape—its mix of ocean, hills, and peaks—when selecting the design's colors and shapes. The front flap of the card features a die-cut silhouette of the human head, showing a partial view of the image behind. When fully opened, the invitation reveals the large panorama of the landscape and emphasizes the conference subjects: research, awareness, and perception.
